Mohilef Studios' flagship building in downtown Los Angeles’ Flower District was founded by artists Canyon Castator and Mark Castator in 2016. What began as a personal search for studio space has grown into a dynamic and diverse community of professional artists.
An expansion of the Mohilef Studios project, the Washington Avenue building was opened in 2021 to offer spacious artist studios and gallery space.

MOHILEF STUDIOS is a curated, artist-run space in downtown Los Angeles founded by Canyon Castator and Mark Castator. Spanning two converted industrial buildings, it provides studios for more than seventy artists and supports the advancement of contemporary practice through shared infrastructure and a commitment to community. Its recent expansion includes onBROADWAY, a new studio project located in downtown Los Angeles’ historic theater district.
