Scout Zabinski (b. 1997, New Jersey) is a self-taught artist based in Los Angeles. A graduate of NYU’s Gallatin School, where she studied psychology, postcolonial feminism, literature, and art history, Zabinski’s multidisciplinary education informs her conceptually rich practice. Her work explores the boundaries between objecthood and identity, drawing on art historical references while carving a distinctively feminine and satirical visual language.
She has held solo exhibitions internationally, including Into the Veil at Carl Kostyál, London (2023) and Violin Theory at Hospitalet, Stockholm (2024). Her paintings are part of the Beth Rudin De Woody Collection and have been shown at KIAF Seoul, Palazzo Tiepolo Passi in Venice, and galleries across LA and Mexico City. Blending humor, critique, and seductive precision, Zabinski’s portraits challenge the hierarchies of fine art, echoing feminist iconoclasts while asserting a singular, enigmatic presence.
